another pic i coloured for mindfulness practice in the art therapy group. This one made me think of Christmas. 🕯🌺🎄
i coloured this puppy as part of the mindfulness colouring practice at my old art therapy group. 🐶
I put this together three years ago (September 5th, 2018 according to properties) … My brothers are right – my artwork looked much better in the past, before my depressive psychosis fully developed, and I lost concentration on the simplest of tasks. I just need to discipline myself to make more art, and actually spend more time on each art piece as well, instead of doing everything at the deadline, or in a couple of hours before I can’t focus anymore. 😅
(From left to right: Carnation, Amy, and Leopold from our Gothic novel, Curse of the Mystic Sword.) 🥀💀🥀
I’ve been rearranging the apartment, since I realised I have a lot of space in my room (technically a large walk-in closet), so I have been taking my boxes of old stuff from the hallway, and putting them into my room.
Naturally, I’ve been going thru some of the boxes as I do so, and was happy to rediscover my art book from 2015-2016 (when we resided at the Victorian mansion), which I thought was lost forever! I was so grateful to find it – tysm, God! 🙇🏻♀️🙏🏻😇
I also found a very large sketchbook with this trio inside its pages; what’s so special, as well as rare, about this is, all three of us drew this together – I drew Carnation, Micky @octobernocturne drew Amy, and Rob @timewillcrawl94 drew Leopold! 👩🏻🎨👨🏼🎨👨🏻🎨
They’re in Curse of the Mysic Sword, a Gothic novel we’ve been writing since Autumn, 2006. Carnation is an independent woman, ever at odds with Leopold, who – unbeknownst to her – is a vampyre, as is his adopted daughter, Amy. 🌹🥀🦇🥀🌹
(… we’re gonna need a bigger scanner! 😆)
Guess what?! I have a new dream husband!! 😁💕 (4 now.)
Soo… I’ve dreamt of being engaged to K before (Summer of 2017 after rewatching Yu Yu Hakusho), but I broke it off for reasons… namely to focus on my other love interests, Touya and Karasu, also from YYH.
I admit I’d still dream of romance with K, but primarily about the other two.
K acts more as a Guardian Angel and mentor than lover most of the time, tbh.
I’ve dreamt (and daydreamed) of K and Karasu consistently for the past four years. K and his short-term girlfriend, Koto, helped out with my kids I had with Karasu; while Touya went off to have a son with an original imaginary dream figure (she looks like Fisheye from Sailor Moon).
Me and Karasu officially decided on an open marriage in 2019, since I was ‘loose’ in dreams as it were. 😅
Anyway, K and Koto parted ways, and we started dating again earlier this year. He proposed on July 23rd, to which I said “Yes!”.👰🏻🤵
He put the ring he got for me over my ring from Karasu, so they’re like stacked rings now 💍 (only in dreams tho, I don’t have physical counterparts…yet).
Then we got married in a dream this morning (on September 2nd), and moved in with his Mom. K painted our bedroom in our family home to be my favourite colours, too (snow white🤍, green💚, blue💙, and pink💗).
P.s. Amazingly enough, my SO/main dream husband Karasu wasn’t opposed to K’s proposal, or our wedding. He instead decided to get married to his other girlfriend, who is an original imaginary figure he has a lot of history with. He even left our kids with me and K, while he went on a honeymoon with her… like, OMG, Karasu!! 😅 (Me and K did not honeymoon btw.) I was okay with it tho, just happy to have my Crow Goblins with me and my new husband. All in all, ‘twas a good sweet love dream! 🐱💟🦊
I updated my Instagram with this snapshot and description last Thursday (August 26th);
“Attending a free art webinar creating fantasy art with Corel Painter, the teacher is named Davey Baker. I have a really old version of Corel Painter Essentials, and think about getting the latest Corel Painter, since I know Rob likes Corel Painter, he’s used free trials, and done some impressive paintings with it! My best paintings were done with Corel Painter too, on this note. I’m getting a new laptop soon courtesy of my boss, so I’ll probably wait until then to get the new Corel Painter. The character on the screen reminds me of my sensei, Yoshimitsu. “
Tbh I barely understood it, haha! All this talk about a “glow” brush and such, must be from the newer Corel Painters, but I assume tis similar to Photoshop Element’s “burn” brush or something. 😅
(I’m also struggling with concentration lately due to being clinically depressed, tho.)
Ciao ciao for now!
~*I’d love to walk away and pull myself out of the rain
But I can’t leave without you
I’d love to live without the constant fear and endless doubt
But I can’t live without you*~
Having a lot of feels about this song (particularly this version, which I’m captivated by) … Strange thing, coincidences that come in threes … So I associate this song with Yoshimitsu-sensei from the Soul Calibur video games: Yoshimitsu I, that is – “my” Yoshi-san – and thus, our OC Puck-sensei who was inspired by Yoshi-sensei when we wrote a crossover series between our main graphic novel story and SC (Puck-sensei is what Yoshimitsu-sensei is renamed to from my SC fanfics that I’m also adapting into an original graphic novel too) … And today I’ve been listening to this song, and saw that the Yoshimitsu fansite is going to re-open on December 8th, so roughly a little over 100 days from now – okay, I can wait … Then I noticed when going back to edit stuff on my art blog that I had uploaded the pic of “Puck’s Shadow” on December 8th 2019 … Kinda odd, but okay … then just now to share this song after listening to it on repeat for hours and hours, I looked it up to copy the lyrics from the original recording, and saw that the “My Immortal” single from Fallen was released on December 8th 2003 … If you read through all that – thanks! I have NO IDEA what any of it means, but … WOW! Funny cos I mentioned how most things seem to “come in threes” just the other day to Micky.
As I wrote on my old art blog:
I feel pretty inspired today, and just did this quick sketch of Lam Ching Ying and Baby Jiang Shi! ♡ I love his films, especially the ones where he plays the inspiring Taoist Priest who saves the day, often with his bumbling disciples. Baby Jiang Shi is so adorable, I love how he gets to help his foster Papa out on these fantastical missions! n_n ♡
Hi guys! Alexandria aka Sha here! This is my new watermark signature. 💕
So the story behind this: my birth name is Alexandria, and one of my pet names from my brothers and friends in RL is Nabi – which is a Korean name and word meaning, “Butterfly”, although tis more commonly what Koreans call their cats (like how we go, “Kittycat”, or “Here, kitty, kitty” in the West)… thus, that’s me as Nabi – a butterfly kittycat – in front of my birth name. =^.^= 🦋🐈💕
(Also my childhood nickname Sha in Korean means, “Girl”, and is pronounced the same way as the French word for, “Cat”, so… I already had the cat motif going on! 🐈💕)
Why do I care about something Korean when I’m not Korean? Well, my first boyfriend Steven is Korean/Eurasian, and I’m writing a webcomic that stars a French-Korean OC based on Soul Calibur, so I read about Korea and Korean name meanings for writing purposes and general curiousity. :3 ⚔️🤺🛡️💕
Anyways, hope you all like my watermark signature and the little story behind it! 💕
Hello #artvsartist2021 😘 My names Sha! Short for Alexandria. Tis Russian. I’m not. Well, except for a wee bit, way way wayyy back. 🙃 I’m an aspiring #webcomicartist I mostly draw character designs and romantic couples, cos I’m a girl, and that’s what girls do. 😉 Hopeless romantic, that I am! Anyway I’m a fan and writer of #gothicfiction and #darkfantasy so expect that in my forecast. 👩🏼🎨🎨
Oh yes and before I forget – I’m part of art team @tealightstories with Mikau @octobernocturne Robert @timewillcrawl94 and Matthew @villanimatthew – I’m the #artdirector for the record.
(My description was originally written for Instagram – I’m LunarArtist_Alexandria on there, and will edit in proper tags when I go on my laptop laters.)
