My SI, Sha, being playful with one of her boyfriends named Jokul Frosti. He’s a Jack Frost type sprite, so the ice cream doesn’t actually affect him – they’re both cold, heh. Still, Sha teases him anyhow, and makes a lot of cold-and-ice jokes around him before he realises she likes him – he’s slow like that. This is supposed to be a Summertime scene inspired by The Notebook, one of my favourite romance movies, while the background comes from Clip Studio Paint Pro. I did this between taking an old sketch from my sketchbook to colours in Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 to shading and the background in Clip Studio Paint Pro. I also livestreamed this yesterday, and my dear friend, Miriam-chan, showed up to support me, which was nice. Sha and Jokul are a cute couple, but have a complicated history before they do date later on. Jokul is supposed to appear in The Runaway Shadow by Micky first, before he reappears in MQ (or whatever we’ll re-title it to) with Sha and her brothers.
My SI, Sha, made the other night with a Picrew maker a friend shared on FB. This is Sha in the Sandman story arc, where she has partial pink dyed hair.
This is my second OC for the PaperDemon Art RPG (she’s me as a cartoon character).
Character Name: Alexandria “Sha” Pris Amaranth.
Character Age: 30.
Character Species: Human-faerie hybrid.
Hair colour: Changes colours with wash-out dyes; however, the base colour is bleached blonde with dark roots.
Eye colour: Amber brown.
Sha was born to Donna and Heath Amaranth in Ireland before moving to the East Wood Island of the Wood Islands archipelago, where fae folk are common among humans. Sha herself is descended from Irish faeries through her mother, inheriting a healing ability that has led her to become a nurse at the police station where her two brothers work. Her long-time suitor, Steven Gayle, a former boyfriend of hers, is forever by her side, even through her various relationships with bad men, which seem to be her preferred type. Sha eventually marries Leopold Florel, unaware that he and his adoptive daughter, Amy, are vampyres. While Sha is one of three stars in our main story in our upcoming webcomic universe, here she joins her stepdaughter in the Paperverse!
I saw my good friend, Alexa, was open for art commissions on Twitter, and decided to commission her to draw my SI, Sha, and my fictional stepdaughter, Amy. I’m very happy with them! Alexa has an unique and gorgeous art style, as well as is an absolute doll to work with. =^w^= 💚
(This is actually my first time commissioning someone to do artwork for me, before this has just been art requests and trades, etc.)
Here are the sketches and line art WIP pieces:
And the time lapses of Alexa working on each piece!
Up first is Amy:
And then there’s Sha:
I made this 11 years ago for Steven’s birthday, featuring characters associated with him like Android 17, Hwoarang/Iron, Yun-seong, etc. and I’m his girl, Seong Mi-Na! 💚
My penname at the time was Saria Necile aka Sallie for short, as a sort of play off of how my friends called me Allie short for Alexandria, my birth name.
A fun coincidence is that one of our songs is “I think we’re alone now” by Tiffany, and later we dedicated “Kiss you all over” by Exile to one another to eventually find out that Tiffany covered it! 😀
I put this together three years ago (September 5th, 2018 according to properties) … My brothers are right – my artwork looked much better in the past, before my depressive psychosis fully developed, and I lost concentration on the simplest of tasks. I just need to discipline myself to make more art, and actually spend more time on each art piece as well, instead of doing everything at the deadline, or in a couple of hours before I can’t focus anymore. 😅
~*I’d love to walk away and pull myself out of the rain
But I can’t leave without you
I’d love to live without the constant fear and endless doubt
But I can’t live without you*~
Having a lot of feels about this song (particularly this version, which I’m captivated by) … Strange thing, coincidences that come in threes … So I associate this song with Yoshimitsu-sensei from the Soul Calibur video games: Yoshimitsu I, that is – “my” Yoshi-san – and thus, our OC Puck-sensei who was inspired by Yoshi-sensei when we wrote a crossover series between our main graphic novel story and SC (Puck-sensei is what Yoshimitsu-sensei is renamed to from my SC fanfics that I’m also adapting into an original graphic novel too) … And today I’ve been listening to this song, and saw that the Yoshimitsu fansite is going to re-open on December 8th, so roughly a little over 100 days from now – okay, I can wait … Then I noticed when going back to edit stuff on my art blog that I had uploaded the pic of “Puck’s Shadow” on December 8th 2019 … Kinda odd, but okay … then just now to share this song after listening to it on repeat for hours and hours, I looked it up to copy the lyrics from the original recording, and saw that the “My Immortal” single from Fallen was released on December 8th 2003 … If you read through all that – thanks! I have NO IDEA what any of it means, but … WOW! Funny cos I mentioned how most things seem to “come in threes” just the other day to Micky.

The frost coated everything in sight. Like a shimmering white blanket it lay draped over leaf, twig and soil. The spectacle brought a hush to the usual bustle of early morning; for the brief time that the frost was here, a silence that only winter could bring hovered in the air. There were leaves scattered […]The Legend of Jokul Frosti
A beautiful article on Jokul Frosti aka Jack Frost in folklore, whom inspires our OC, Jokul Frosti, as well as his Jack Frost ‘brothers’ (there’s a Frost spirit for each region in our stories). ❄
